Terms and Conditions

Precision Norwalk Insulation Services, norwalkinsulation.com, hello@norwalkinsulation.com
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover two things. They apply when you use this website, and when you hire Precision Norwalk Insulation Services to work on your house or building. If you browse our home page, call us or send a request, you're agreeing to these terms, so please read them before you go further.
If anything here doesn't sit right with you, call us before we schedule any work. We'd rather talk it through up front than have a surprise later.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Norwalk, CA, and we work in Norwalk and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall, crawl space and basement insulation, blown-in and spray foam, insulation removal, air sealing and vapor barriers for homes and commercial buildings. You can read more about who we are on our About page.
The descriptions on this website are general. Every attic and crawl space is different, so the written estimate for your job is what describes the work we'll actually do.
Estimates and pricing
We give free in-person estimates with no pressure and no obligation, because we can't price an attic or a crawl space honestly without seeing it. The estimate lists the work, the materials and the price, and it's good for the period written on it.
Some things only show up once the job is open, such as old insulation that's been soaked or is full of droppings, hidden gaps around lights and pipes, or damaged framing. When that happens we stop, show you what we found, and explain what it changes before we do any extra work. You won't be charged for added work you didn't approve.
Prices on the estimate don't include permits, repairs by other trades or work outside the written scope unless the estimate says they do.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delays, illness or an unsafe work area can push a date, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new one.
On the day of the job, we need a clear path to the attic hatch, crawl space or work area, and pets kept away from it. Some materials, spray foam in particular, have a re-entry time, which is how long you need to stay out before it's safe to come back inside. Please follow what our crew tells you about when you, your kids and your pets can return, because that instruction comes from the material's maker.
If you need to cancel or move your appointment, call us as early as you can. Any cancellation terms written on your estimate or agreement apply to your job.
Payment
Payment is due on the schedule written on your estimate or invoice. If a deposit is needed, the estimate will say so before you agree to anything.
If a payment is late, we'll reach out to sort it out with you first. We may hold further work until the account is settled, and you're responsible for reasonable costs of collecting an unpaid balance where California law allows it.
Our guarantee and warranty limits
We stand behind every job with a satisfaction guarantee. If something isn't right with our work, tell us soon after we finish so we can come back, look at it and make it right.
Insulation materials carry their own warranties from the companies that make them, and those warranties belong to the maker, not to us. We'll pass along any product information we receive.
Insulation slows heat and air sealing cuts drafts, but how much your power bill drops depends on your house, your equipment and how you use them. We don't promise a specific amount of savings, and apart from what's written in your estimate and the guarantee above, we don't offer other warranties to the extent California law allows.
Limits on our liability
We're fully licensed and insured, and we're responsible for the work we do. We aren't responsible for problems that were already in your house before we arrived, such as roof leaks, pest damage, mold, old wiring or poor attic ventilation, unless fixing them was part of the job we agreed to.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses like lost use of a room or lost income, and our total liability for a job won't be more than what you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under California law that can't be waived.
Using this website
The content on this site is here to help you understand insulation work, not to replace an inspection of your house. Don't rely on it as professional advice for your specific situation.
You may not copy our content for commercial use, try to break into the site or use it for anything unlawful. Links to outside sites are there for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for what those sites say or do.
Settling disagreements
If you're unhappy with anything, call us first. Most problems get solved with a conversation and a return visit, and we'll work in good faith to make that happen.
If we can't settle it that way, the dispute will be handled in the California courts for the county where the work was done, unless your written agreement with us says otherwise.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. Changes won't alter the terms of a job you've already agreed to in writing.
